David Zazueta was born on December 16, 1931, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico, and passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, in Arp, Texas, at the age of 94.
David lived a life marked by faith, knowledge, and generosity. He dedicated much of his life to education, serving as a professor and sharing his deep love of learning with others. An avid reader and lifelong student, David had a special passion for studying the prophecies of the Bible. His faith was the foundation of his life — he was truly a man of God whose wisdom and conviction inspired those around him.
Beyond his academic pursuits, David found joy in the outdoors. He appreciated nature and the beauty of God’s creation. He was known as a loving, caring, and extraordinarily generous man. David possessed a remarkable breadth of knowledge on many subjects, and conversations with him were always engaging and enlightening. It was always interesting to speak with him — there was never a topic he could not thoughtfully discuss.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Juliana Zazueta, with whom he shared a life of love and devotion. He also leaves behind his cherished children: Oscar Zazueta; Gladys Ciurea and her husband, Mircea Ciurea; and Mirian Zazueta and her husband, Bany Argueta. He is also survived by his siblings: Benjamin Zazueta, Eduardo Zazueta, Rhode Zazueta, Irma Zazueta, Francisco Zazueta, Nohemi Zazueta, Joel Zazueta, and Delia Zazueta.
He is further survived by his grandson, Jonathan Oscar Zazueta, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory and legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delfino Ezequiel Zazueta and Delia Ruiz.
David’s legacy is one of faith, wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always honored in the hearts of those who knew him.
