She joined the Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Troup, in 1954 and has been a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church in East Mountain for many years.        After the children were grown she enjoyed working with the public at Skillerns Drug Store for many years. She also volunteered at Laird Memorial Hospital and really enjoyed helping the patients there. Her latest employment was with Louis Morgan Drug in Overton. She was well liked by her customers there.
