Karen then began working as a Teller at Troup Bank and Trust in 1981 and later as Head Teller and Loan Officer at Austin Bank in Troup. Karen became actively involved with Troup Cares in 1989. In 1998, she left the banking industry and started working her dream job, a teacher at Troup High School. Karen was an avid Troup Tiger fan and rarely missed a game of any sport. She loved Troup ISD, her coworkers, past and present students, but most of all, Troup Tiger Basketball. She had a multitude of family members, dear friends, and students who will forever cherish her memory.
She was reunited in heaven with her father, Leo Holt; beloved husband, David Agnew; mother-in-law Inell Agnew, and many other family members, friends, and people she loved dearly.
